We aim to provide basic needs of a human life to those who are deprived, from food and health to clothing and shelter. We strive to reach
the remote areas where the amenities are not easily accessible or affordable to the poor. Our current projects include:

JANIV OLD AGE HOME

Provides a permanent residence for grandmas and grandpas who are found to be living on footpaths, railway stations, or by the roadside.

HELPING HOMELESS

Providing a permanent home for homeless or abandoned senior citizens. So far, Janiv has rescued, rehabilitated, and sheltered 23 seniors in Umbarli Gaon, Dombivli.

FEEDING HUNGRY MOUTHS

Providing a filling, nutritious, and packed meal once a day at Janiv's special canteen in Diva, Thane district, for hard-working labourers at a very low, affordable cost.

HEALTH CARE FOR POOR

Providing health check-ups, medicines, and medical treatments for the poor in Dombivali and accepting a sack of food grains in return, instead of money.

NOURISHMENT FOR PREGNANT WOMEN

Arranging a medical camp for pregnant women in 3 undeveloped villages of Kashti, Sawarpada, Pachghar on the first Sunday of every month & providing them with a full nutritious meal.

FREE LIBRARY FACILITY

Starting free libraries in Kashti, Sawarpada, Pachghar, Anusuya Nagar, Nanded with over 450 Hindi and Marathi languages books for villagers to encourage the habit of reading and learning.

Repairing and renovating the school's rickety buildings in the underdeveloped villages of Umbarli and Sakharwal and providing uniforms, stationery and books to school kids.

Manoj Panchal
Founder and Communications Manager

Manoj Panchal is a motivational speaker. Being orphaned early in life, he spent majority of his childhood and adolescence in an orphanage and grew up with a family bound by love, if not by blood. While growing up, he dreamt of building an old age home and an orphanage. The dream turned into a resolution, which only grew stronger, until one day in 2016 he decided he was ready to turn it into reality.

Swapnil Kemnaik
Co-founder and Program Assistant

Swapnil Kemnaik is a senior designer at Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. He was born in a close-knit family with a humble background, where money wasn't always free-flowing but love and affection was. He has seen the positives of having a family to call your own and understands it is rare and not everyone is blessed with that. This is the reason you might see him hanging around his other family in the old age home.

Ajay Talware
Co-founder and Fundraising Manager

Ajay Talware is the Vice President of a global multinational company. He hails from the corporate world and dwells amongst people who mean business. But that hasn't hardened him. He has always wanted to make some contribution to the society, but couldn't find a way to do it from his busy schedule. So when his friends suggested starting Janiv, he jumped on the ship. Now, he might be busy with meetings, but his financial help has kept the place afloat.

Kushal Nehete
Co-founder and Program Manager

Kushal Vilas Nehete is a Assistant Manager (IT) at Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited. His father lost his job when he was young. So, even under harsh conditions and overcoming many difficulties, he pursued an engineering degree. From the experience he got, he started social service work. Through this he started helping the destitute, sick, hungry and street people. Along with this, educational assistance to needy and blind students, etc. Currently he is contributing monthly light bill of Janiv ashram and from that he is getting the lots of happiness and blessings of the people living in the ashram.
